Claudio Fontana

The first secrets of this fascinating profession Claudio Fontana learns them at a well-known laboratory in Venice (Italy), a city rich in history, art and culture. Later, after years of apprenticeship, in 1990 he opened his first goldsmith studio in Cormòns (Italy).

These are years of intense experimentation and collaboration with some of the most prestigious regional jewelers. In Cormòns, a Hapsburg-style town and Austrian tourist destination, Claudio studies and refines new techniques for creating and processing jewellery. The next step was the opening of the goldsmith's workshop in another city rich in history and culture, the 15th century Gradisca d’Isonzo (Italy). The workshop, initially located in Piazzale dell'Unità, then moved to via Ciotti, the shopping street.

Moving to the new location was the result of constant professional growth and an unstoppable desire for improvement, which gave way to broaden the offer, not only remaining a laboratory but becoming a complete jewellery with annexed laboratories. On the occasion of the imminent thirty years of activity in the next 2020 and following targeted evaluations, the need arose to want to differentiate the products of the numerous brands present in the store from the creations, which is why therefore the birth of Fontana Gioielli and the line Claudio Fontana 1990, where the latter, in fact, represents all of Claudio's jewellery creations.
