The Eyris Blue Pearl Company has been a consistant donator to the NZ Shipwreck Welfare Trust.
The charity was set up by the New Zealand Federation of Commercial Fishermen (NZFCF) to support those families who have lost loved ones out at sea.
The Federation provides immediate assistance while insurance claims etc are being sorted out.
They are a volunteer run charity organisation. All people involved in the operation of the charity offer their services free of charge (e.g. volunteer accountants/directors etc).
The auction was held on Thursday 12 May and a total of $26,104.00 was raised. All of this was donated to the NZ Shipwreck Welfare Trust.
